Physical Damage Coverage Medford Oregon OR
Reader’s Question:
Should I have comprehensive and collision coverage on my 1992 Lexus SC300. Its costing me too much per month just for these coverages, on top of 2 other cars I own. For a vehicle this old I don’t see the benefit.

Last week, my grandfather asked me the same question about his 2002 Buick LeSabre. He was frustrated that his two vehicles cost him around $1000 per year and he wanted to trim what he thought was un-needed coverage. Last year we had the same conversation and he removed the comprehensive and collision coverage from their 1989 Jeep Cherokee.
I really suggest that you keep the most coverage that you can afford. Now that may sound like a car salesman trying to sell you the most expensive vehicle in the lot, but it is true and simple.
You should research your vehicle’s values and see if the value of each vehicle is worth losing these two major benefits of physical damage coverage.
