Oregon Motorcycle Insurance
Reader’s Question:
If I purchase a motorcycle and have a lease out on it, do I need full coverage car insurance on it? I live in Oregon.

I think when you said “full coverage” you are referring to “fully covering the motorcycle itself.” If that is what you meant, you are talking about collision and comprehensive coverages.
If you do not have the title to the motorcycle, I think your lease company will require you to carry these two coverages to protect their motorcycle. Plus, since it is leased (and not just financed) your lease company may require you to carry higher limits of additional coverages like property damage liability and bodily injury liability. Please verify with your leasing company to check this.
